Partner terms
What you earn, what counts as your introduction, when you are paid, and the rules that keep it fair to you and to practices.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and Vetdost, the practice management software for independent UK veterinary practices. The legal name and registered address of the business are still to be settled. We will write to every partner with them as soon as they exist, and these terms carry over unchanged.
What you earn
For every practice that counts as your introduction, we pay you 20 per cent of every payment that practice makes to Vetdost in the twelve months from its first payment. That includes the one-off setup fee, the monthly or annual plan, texts beyond the plan's allowance and any extra sites.
- The twelve months start on the date the practice's first payment clears, not the date you introduced them.
- Payments after those twelve months earn no commission.
- If we ever charge VAT, commission is worked out on the amount before VAT.
- There is no limit on how many practices you introduce, or on what you earn.
What counts as your introduction
- You registered the practice in your partner account, or the practice asked for a demo with your partner link or your partner code.
- You introduced them before anybody else did. Every introduction is dated, and the first one counts.
- The practice starts paying Vetdost within six months of your introduction.
- The practice was not already in touch with us in the 90 days before. If it was, your account tells you as soon as you try to register it.
- You do not own the practice, or part of it. A practice cannot introduce itself.
Telling the practice
You must always tell a practice that you are a Vetdost partner and that we pay you for introductions, before or when you introduce them. If you advise the practice, as a consultant for example, tell them in the same way you would tell them about any other interest you have.
If you work at or for the practice you are introducing, its owner or practice principal must know about this arrangement and agree to it before you make the introduction.
What you must not do
- Say anything about Vetdost that is not true, or promise a price, discount or feature we do not offer.
- Pay for adverts that use the Vetdost name, or bid on it in search adverts.
- Write to or call anybody as if you were Vetdost, or send messages people have not agreed to receive.
- Pressure a practice to change system, or offer them anything in return for choosing us.
When you contact people about Vetdost, you are responsible for following UK data protection and marketing law.
When and how you are paid
- Commission on a payment becomes yours 30 days after the practice's payment clears.
- We pay everything that has become yours by the 15th of the following month, by bank transfer to a UK account in your name or your business's name.
- We take your bank details on a call before your first payment and confirm them back to you in writing. We never ask for them by email or in a form.
- If we refund a payment, the commission on it comes off. If we have already paid it, it comes off your next payments.
- Your partner account shows every payment a practice you introduced has made, the date it cleared, the amount and your commission, and whether it has been paid.
Tax, and what you are not
Commission is your income and you are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. You are not our employee or our agent, and you cannot agree anything on our behalf.
Your account
- We read every application and may call you before approving it. We can decline an application, and we will tell you why.
- Keep your password to yourself. If you forget it, email hello@vetdost.com from the address on your account and we will call you to reset it.
- We use your details to run the programme and pay you, as our privacy notice describes.
Ending the arrangement
Either of us can end it at any time by email. When it ends, you are still paid for every practice that already counted as your introduction, for its full first twelve months. The only exception is if you broke these terms in a way that matters, for example by not telling a practice you are a partner, or by misleading it. In that case we can stop paying commission on the practices affected.
Changes to these terms
We will email you at least 30 days before any change. A change never reduces what you earn on a practice you had already introduced.
The law, and questions
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If anything here is unclear, or you think we have got something wrong, email hello@vetdost.com and a person will reply.
Version 2026-10. The version you agreed to, and when, is shown in your partner account.
